About Ms. Costello
My Story

I studied at Texas A&M University and majored in both History and Anthropology with an Archaeology concentration. During college, I studied abroad in Cusco, Peru and received funding to travel to Scotland in order to perform research for my Undergraduate Research Scholars thesis.
I attended my archaeological field school at George Washington's Mount Vernon in DC, which led to a excavator and museum collections position after I graduated.
I later participated in the Cultural Research Diversity Internship Program, where I performed archaeological and historical research for the National Parks Service in SE Arizona before deciding to return to the classroom. I am thrilled to be working as a United States History teacher at Round Rock High School!

Aside from focusing on history and archaeology during college, I also found my love of rock climbing and became president of Texas A&M Competitive Rock Climbing Team. I still enjoy climbing today and spend the rest of my free time reading at coffee shops, biking around Austin, attempting to cook, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
